Abstract

The policies and ideas related to the study of the relationship between the new urbanism and the existing historical urbanism are among the most important strategies that contribute to preserving the urban heritage and the cultural heritage of the historical cities as well as respecting the requirements of modern times. Infill Area, due to the absence of many dimensions that take into account the requirements and vocabulary of modernity in a way that does not negatively affect the existing historical heritage, so it was necessary to identify the most important strategies, architectural and urban requirements that must take into account the complementary relationship between modernity and historical eras, as the problem has been Discussed in this research to confirm its results, which is the absence of standards and strategies that achieve integration between the new urbanism and the existing urbanization in the historic city of Cairo, specifically the urban standards, and in turn the research clarified the recommendations that contribute to how to achieve integration and compatibility between the new urbanization and the existing one.
